For example, ABA numbers (or routing codes) identify banks in the US and Canada, Sort Codes identify banks in the UK. The customer or client identification field, on the other hand, must be left blank. The website contains the codes and business descriptions that are used by Accident Compensation Corporation, Inland Revenue and Statistics New Zealand. The missing digits are replaced with XXX and directed through the head office of the bank to the right branch.
