€™s reference number (FRN). Although BIC is often referred to by bankers as a SWIFT code or SWIFT address, do note that BIC is slightly different from SWIFT§. Why has a BIC Code sometimes 8-digits and sometimes 11-digits ? Not having it handy meant the funds transfer was delayed.
